Sydney is a graphic designer for the John Locke Foundation. Collaborating with team members at Locke, Sydney develops designs across all platforms and mediums to execute innovative and strategic communication.

Sydney graduated from the Honors College of East Carolina University with a bachelor’s in Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design and a certificate in Entrepreneurship. She also spent a semester studying abroad in Bulgaria, where she studied visual communication. This experience enabled her to visit seventeen countries and build relationships with university students and professors from around the globe.

While a student, Sydney worked with several local nonprofits, including NC Stop Human Trafficking and Janice Faye’s Ranch, enhancing her skills as a designer and nurturing a passion for serving North Carolina. Sydney received four Undergraduate Research and Creative Awards, which supported her research in utilizing graphic design to promote health and lifestyle change for people in eastern North Carolina.
