Fewer North Carolina public schools fared well in the latest round of ABC testing. School officials point to more stringent standards, but Terry Stoops takes another view. He’ll explain his concerns during the next edition of Carolina Journal Radio.

You’ll also hear details about the ideas floating around the 21st Century Transportation Committee, a group charged with finding ways for North Carolina to pay for billions of dollars of transportation projects in the coming decades. Committee chairman Brad Wilson explained those ideas during a recent public meeting, and Joe Coletti will offer his reaction.

If the recent election campaign sparked your interest in running for public office, you might be interested in the Institute of Political Leadership. Executive director Robin Dorff will explain the institute’s role in helping candidates prepare to enter the arena.

We’ll also hear Stephen Moore of the Wall Street Journal explain how the rollback of the Bush tax cuts could hurt American prosperity, and Chad Adams will join Donna Martinez for another edition of Locker Room Talk.
